Michigan Barn
I love old barns and am saddened by their rapid disappearance from our rural landscape. Here is a shot of a barn near my home that I predict will not be with us much longer. Structurally, it’s in better shape than many, but the property on which it stands has been purchased by a major corporation and it is now sitting, unused and unmaintained. It won’t be long before it becomes more of a liability than an asset and will be torn down. Hopefully, some of the old growth beams will be re-purposed and its siding used for arts and craft projects. Sadly, most just collapse and rot where they once proudly stood as symbols of wealth and prosperity for their owners.
Great post, keep it up.
